Fighting the Good Fight

Everyday we wake up to new opportunities to fight for what we believe in and to defend it to the fullest. Some days more than others I feel that I'm DARED into fighting for what I love and cherish the most. Sometimes I wish you could lift the blindfold and see what I see. I see something amazing, something great and all because of the open mind I have. My life has changed for the better because of this blessing in my life. I won't lie to you, sometimes I hesitate to stand up for what I believe in because I'm scared of failing to not defend what I believe in. But I certainly need to become a little more fearless, especially if I hope to instill that in my students. Life is not perfect, but maybe instead of asking me to doubt my decisions you should ask me how this blessing has changed my life. I guess I should have been less ignorant and asked you the same thing when it was your time. Just as you may learn a thing or two that may change your perspective, I too could have learned something new. I'm happy to be where I'm at, even if at times I struggle to achieve success. I have dreams and one of those dreams is to share my life with that special someone that understands the dynamics that it takes to be ME. God is the only one that will know me PERFECTLY WELL and KNOW EVERYTHING about me. Because he knows how I am he blessed me with a soulmate that complements who I am. I'm in love with my soulmate, my best friend, my special someone that complements me so much. If I didn't care, I think I would have given up a long time ago. One of my biggest fears was to make a commitment that I couldn't keep. Now, I feel ready to make that commitment to share myself with the world, but especially with the one who inspires me to be a better me. Just like Jesus carried his cross, I too will continue to carry my cross everyday. Someday I hope you see the joy in my eyes, the smile on my face, and the butterflies in my stomach that the love that dominates my life brings to my heart. There is no greater joy than to be in love and be loved. God certainly CAPTIVATED my heart and showed just how much HE LOVES ME through Jesus and through he who brings joy to an already joyful soul. My hope is that someday you allow God to CAPTIVATE your heart and let him SHOW YOU HOW MUCH HE LOVES YOU TOO. I love you and am proud of what you have become and are becoming.
